Curtain Rod & Blind Installation in Bankstown

Fit curtain rods, brackets and ordinary household blinds.

We install supplied curtain rods and ordinary household blinds where the wall, fittings and access are suitable.

Curtain rods and brackets

Tell us how many windows need rods fitted and whether you are replacing an existing rod or installing a new one. Include the rod dimensions, curtain weight and the brackets supplied.

We check the product instructions, fixing positions and wall suitability before installation. Mark the height you prefer, but leave the final fixing positions for assessment rather than drilling first.

Fitting ordinary household blinds

We fit small ordinary domestic blinds using their supplied instructions and fittings. List each window and say whether the blind mounts inside the window opening or across its face.

The blind must be the correct size for the opening. Tell us about handles or other obstructions, and keep the cord-safety fittings with the product. Safety restraints must be fitted as the instructions require.

What to check before arranging the work

Have the blinds or rods, brackets and instructions ready. Include photos of the windows and mention tiles, unusual wall material or difficult access. Electric blinds, wiring and high-access installations are excluded.

For rentals, obtain the necessary permission before drilling or changing fittings. Common property and fire-rated walls need the appropriate assessment and approval. Do not remove existing cord restraints or safety fittings.

What changes the cost?

Window count, product type, mounting surface and access affect the quote. Reusing sound brackets is a different job from fitting new ones to another wall position.

Include each product and its measurements. Supplying window furnishings, cutting incorrectly sized blinds or repairing old fixing holes is not assumed to be included.

See the handyman cost guide for published hourly rates and task prices, and what to check in your quote.

Minor repairs and maintenance.

Our service covers minor, non-structural work. Residential building jobs are limited to $5,000 in total, including labour, materials and GST. Electrical, plumbing, gas and other specialist trades are outside this service. The limit applies to the whole job; work cannot be split into smaller invoices to avoid licensing. NSW licensing rules.

What to have ready

  • Number of windows and the product for each
  • Product measurements, brackets and instructions
  • Inside-opening or face mounting preference
  • Access, cord-safety fittings and rental or strata permission

Have close-up photos and a wider view ready. Describe the job in the form; photographs cannot be uploaded here.

For a rented home, report repairs to the landlord or agent first. Alterations are different from repairing existing damage and may need specific written permission. See the NSW rental repairs guide before making a booking on someone else’s behalf.
